A Pilot's StorySynopsis
"After a didactic introduction which tells of the beginnings of flying from Icarus's wings, the Wright brothers and the First World War to the building of the Kbely airport, the story then tells of the soldier Karel Smely who overcomes a number of intrigues and wins the flying race around Karlstejn castle. He flies a plane belonging to an entrepreneur in the aircraft industry whose daughter accompanies him during the flight to replace the pilot's sick mechanic. Finally, he marries her.
