The film tells the story of a girl from German-Czech family in the Sudetenland. After her mother's death Gretka is selected for the secret Lebensborn programme with which Himmler wanted to ensure pure descendents for the German empire. After arriving at the Isolde sanatorium Gretka meets the Jewish boy Leo who later impregnates her instead of the SS officer (Blackshirts of the NSDAP). The film copy bears the title Der Lebensborn – Pramen života)
