Synopsis

It is a winter day and the very old woman Otylka sets off to visit her friend Maruška. Although the two women live in the same housing estate, their houses are separated by a large, empty field with no housing, covered with snow. Otylka, on her way, recalls that Maruška has always been a bit indolent and timorous. She herself, on the contrary, always loved to travel and discover new things. The weather is chilly and the courageous woman must overcome various obstacles – for example a large construction crane lying on its side. But she knows that Maruška is lonely; she has no one and now even suffers from some health problems. The story is interrupted by a scene in the operation centre in Houston, America, responsible for the journeys of astronauts into outer space. Similarly to them, Otylka, too, eventually overcomes all the difficulties (under the sound of Williams’s music from the George Lucas’ movie Star Wars) and she successfully completes her mission. She is warmly welcomed by Maruška, equally as the astronauts are welcomed after returning to Earth. Then, the story ends with the film credits in the style of the Star Wars.
