A commercial promoting passbooks of the Trade Savings Bank and the Savings and Loan Association "Work and Save" based in the Prague neighbourhood of Smíchov.
The firm Stork and co. delivers babies to families. Mr Stork brings parents a boy who receives the name Wenceslas Saver. His father immediately sets up a passbook for him with an initial deposit of 1,000 Crowns at the branch of the Trade Savings Bank in the city of Mladá Boleslav. The bag with money is deposited in the bank's strong room. Mrs Crow from the same delivery firm brings expectant parents a girl. They set up a passbook for their daughter, who receives the name Mary Thriftier, with the same initial deposit. It is five years later; the two kids have grown and now play together. Their deposits keep growing, too. Twenty years later, the boy proposes to the girl. To the wedding day, their bank deposits have reached a total of 150,000 Crowns. The end of the film features a notice about the services of the Prague Trade Savings Bank on the corner of Ječná and Štěpánská streets and of the Smíchov Savings and Loan Association "Work and Save".
