Dissection of a frog's heart and its heartbeat. One of the first Czech scientific films.
A scientific film documents experiments carried out on a dead frog. An apparatus is showing a graphic record of the dead frog's heartbeat. The frog's heart keeps beating even after it has been removed from the frog's body. The frog's body stops moving only after its backbone has been broken. Then we can watch the Galvani experiment – stimulation of back legs nerves by means of electrical current. The frog's muscles also react to impulses emitted by a telephone set.
