Poloniny – landscape shots, grazing cattle, running horses, wooden cottages sheepfolds on the hills, women in folk costumes gather and wash their clothes in the river. Cows on the hillside. A love affair develops between a young boy and a girl. The band plays folk instruments, boys and girls in folk costumes dance in a round and in pairs. A woman arrives with a rooster in her arms. The rooster is scared away and the band and all the dancers follow him. (According to the part of the which has survived)
A short film from the life of highlanders promoting the natural beauties, folk life and folk costumes of Carpathian Ruthenia. It was filmed at the turn of August and September 1938 with actors of the Uzhhorod Zemské Theatre and with local types of highlanders and highlanders. It was produced in the Huculean dialect and according to the press it was the first sound Huculean film in Czechoslovakia. The films remained unfinished as the negative of the film was damaged in the laboratories. The producer planned to shoot the film again next year, but this did not happen due to the changed political situation. Only less than 300 metres unedited scenes without sound exist.
