One of the Czech tourist offices offers in its catalogue ”a trip to the unknown” – an informative trip to Democratic People's Republic of Korea. In 2008 it was the second time since 1989 that North Korea was entered by a ”normal tourist group”. Each of the tourists had to accept the fact that for the duration the trip their freedom would be limited – none of the group, for instance, can ”informally” leave the hotel or even start a conversation with an ”ordinary” North Korean. Who and why go on holiday to a country that is a security danger for the rest of the world?
