This political thriller brings us back to Germany in the 1970s, when the country was rocked by a series of bombings and the fear of terrorism. The radical children of the so-called "Nazi generation," headed by Andreas Baader, UIrike Meinhof, and Gudrun Ensslin, led a violent war against the American imperialism supported by the German government – a government they viewed as the new face of fascism. Although the young radicals wanted a more humane society, they used inhumane means, spread terror and bloodshed, and themselves lost their humanity. The group of radicals was persecuted by the head of the German police, Horst Herold, who to a certain extent understood their actions. His hunt was successful, but he knew that they were just the tip of the iceberg.
