Two men thread their way through the crowd at the fairground, a student and a poet. The merry student immediately finds a girl and they spend their time trying out all the various attractions. The poet sorrowfully dreams about the beautiful wax doll at the wax museum. In the end both men are left on their own. The student's female companion disappears into one of the caravans.
