Summary

The dream of a reader to whom schematic characters from contemporary Czech novels begin to appear.

Synopsis

The reader falls asleep, and, in his dream, he sees characters from contemporary novels: the kulak, the middle-class peasant, the workers, the reactionary, the saboteurs. All of them protest against the authors' schematic idea of them. They want to defend themselves because, in their opinion, the writers are destroying the common man in their works. The reader wakes up and must conclude that real humans have no place in these literary works.

Note

The film is taken from the occasional satirical film series Trn (Thorn).
