Summary

An introduction to the principle of operating and distributing electricity and sound waves, which are the preconditions for radio broadcasting.

Note

The opening titles state that it is a film of the Czech Radio. A copy of the film was made after 10 June 1939, when the operating company was renamed the Czech Radio, Ltd. The film contains passages from the German picture Die Rundfunktechnik I. – IV. Teil (1930), which was distributed in Czechoslovakia in 1930 under the title "Radio Technology" (V: Commerz-Film Berlin). Some passages explaining the spreading of sound waves are identical with those in the film The Adventures of a Ubiquitous Fellow (1936, V: IRE-Film).
