The film was an interlude that ran with the performance of the play Máj (May) directed by E. F. Burian at the Prague D 35 theatre. It was shot on 9.5mm film. During the performances, Jiří Lehovec personally operated the projector, but the copy was destroyed by the projection. Therefore, E. F. Burian had a new version made in 1936. The negative of the film is preserved in the archive of Jiří Lehovec, who had it transcribed at the Research Institute for Sound and Picture Technology in Prague (Výzkumný ústav zvukové a obrazové techniky VÚZORT) onto a VHS cassette. Only non-film media VHS, Beta and digital recordings are preserved in the National Film Archive Prague. The sequence of scenes does not correspond to the original version.
