This story, taking place in a single day and night in the cosmopolitan hotel Close to Heaven, deals with, among other things, different viewpoints on people and things. Thirty-year-old Kenyan Samuel stands on the edge of the hotel’s roof thinking back on hsi native land and preparing to commit suicide. He presents the inhabitants of the building and its owner and explains the reasons for his act.
