Synopsis

A young laundress is washing in the wash-tub. A cheeky baker comes into the washer room. The bar of soap is so smooth it keeps slipping out of the girl's hands and neither she nor the baker can pick it up. In the end the soap flies through the window, breaking it. The baker goes out to get but slips over in the mud. A man washing a shop window recommends a bar of Schicht's Soap with the mark of a deer on it. The young man proudly brings it to the washer-woman. The soap is square so it does not slip out of your hands and on top of that it washes wonderfully. This is confirmed when the baker falls into the wash-tub and when he re-emerges his clothes are brilliantly white.

Note

The end of the film included colour material about the recommended product whose filming originally employed the Gasparcolor system. The National Film Archive has the Czech, Slovak and German version.
