In the Clutches of a VampireSynopsis
Baron Leknitz, the rejected admirer of the comtessa Růženka, gets his revenge by blackmailing her father who is in financial difficulties. Růženka later marries engineer Novák. Not long after the wedding the latter falls into the hands of a debauched woman, a friend of Leknitz. Růženka discovers that her husband has been unfaithful and, in despair, contemplates suicide. Only then does Novák realise how foolhardy he has been and he returns to his wife.
