Synopsis

A light is lit at a window and a young man is seen making a new cigarette out of old butts. An invisible guest arrives at midnight asking to borrow ten crowns. The young man lends him the note and the guest leaves on the stroke of one. This is a scene being made by filmmakers. They are advertising the lottery whose proceedings are to go towards the construction of the Hostivař film studios which were destroyed by a fire. The lottery was to be drawn on 20th June 1947.
