An autobiographical film by a Greek director represents the mosaic of episodes from the childhood of Stavros, who was in 1948 as a small boy transported with another three thousand Greek children to Czechoslovakia, when civil war broke out in their country. Little Stavros lived first in a children's home and then in Brno with his grandfather and grandmother, both of whom later died. The grown-up Stavros comes to Brno to arrange the transportation of their remains to Greece.
