This documentary is a mosaic recollection on the Czech Jews deported in 1942 to Latvia. The story is, without using modern shots and commentary, composed from very personal experiences which intertwine and create a surprising picture of the struggle to survive in a Riga ghetto and Salaspils and Kaiserwald camps, just like the ways a man adapts to extreme circumstances. Witnesses talk only about the places, people and events that they met with personally, and every mentioned detail is carefully documented with the help of unique, mostly never-before-seen authentic photographs and shots, found during years of searching through archives, private collections as well as family garages of former SS members.
