Synopsis

Mr Jaroslav Zbrklý (Rash) becomes the proud owner of the new Škoda 404 motorcar. He goes out for a drive with his girlfriend Olinka. Since Jaroslav is truly rash in his behaviour he is hampered by a series of breakdowns. Like a guardian angel, however, a policeman on a motor-bike always arrives on the scene at the last minute and helps him. First Jaroslav runs out of petrol, then the spark-plug comes loose, then the exhaust gets blocked up. To cap it all, Jaroslav even uses water from the radiator so his girlfriend can wash her hands. After a few kilometres the engine jams up and the car needs a complete overhaul. Jaroslav's angry girlfriend goes back to Prague on the back of a motorbike which the policeman flags down and the useless car is towed away for servicing.
