Summary

This documentary film with the slogan The Heart Cannot Be Commanded captures the “fate of singles” in the relatively advanced eastern Slovak town of Zemplínské Hámre, whose enterprising mayor decided it was up to him to influence the town's unfavourable demographic development and adamantly tried to bring together its single citizens over thirty years of age. But these people are lethargic, reconciled to living alone and have little empathy for his ”coercive activities”. In its choice of theme and processing means the film follows on the distribution titles of director The Beauty Exchange (2004) and We’ll Meet at the Eurocamp (2006).
