This director's feature debut tells the story of a successful, widowed man and his son/student who is just as successful. After the death of the wife/mother they have to take care of the house. Their vanity makes them refuse the help of an experienced neighbour and deserving grandfather and they are inflicted with problems and catastrophes that gradually strip them of their self-confidence.
