Film stories about love, mysteries and the snares lurking in a field of wheat - a short graduate exercise produced at FAMU (The Chaff appeared in the Film Yearbook 1995 under the title In the Rye). The first story, The Chaff, tells of two day-trippers who set off to trample through rye fields; the story The Haystack follows a gang of boys who build a secret den in some bails of straw; the trilogy ends with the autumn romance The Path in which an elderly bride and her weary bridegroom set off across a muddy field in search of a brighter future.
