Synopsis

Composer Jaroslav Urban travels through country villages and finds inspiration for his music in folk music. On one journey he meets the attractive Helena Atkinsonová; he drives off to see her but runs over a goose in the village square. The mayor's daughter Marina briskly locks him in the shed for his crime. A painter Voborný is in prison for the very same offence. Both friends are guests of the famous painter Borecký. Helena, the wife of an American millionaire, is there to buy paintings from Borecký. Jaroslav falls helplessly in love with Helena, which upsets Borecký's daughter Vlasta who has taken a shine to him. An editor Blok comes to see Borecký to record an interview with him. He takes a liking to Marina. Everyone gets ready for the pilgrimage to St Anthony. There all the romantic entanglements are all cleared up. Helena receives word of her divorce so she is free to return Jaroslav's feelings. Voborný gets intimate with Vlasta, and Blok gives Marina a pilgrimage heart as a token of his love.
